This spiced apple oatmeal isn’t your average oatmeal. With each bite you’ll be transported to a place of ultimate fall. The leaves, the crisp autumn air, the apple orchards. It’s cozy in a bowl – snuggle up in your PJ’s by the fireplace kind of cozy. I promise, you don’t want to skip this one.

Oatmeal Ingredients:
- 1 cup organic sprouted rolled oats
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 TBSP maple syrup
- 1/2 TSP pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon
- 1 TSP vanilla extract
- 1/4 TSP salt
Spiced Apples Ingredients:
- 1 cup diced apples or pears
- 1 TBSP maple
- 1/2 TSP pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon
Toppings:
- Chopped pecans
- A drizzle more of maple syrup, if desired
- A splash of almond milk, if desired
- Protein powder, if desired
Instructions:
- In a small pot add all of your spiced apple ingredients and cook over medium low heat until soft – this should take a few minutes. Set aside once done.
- In another small pot add the oatmeal ingredients. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 10-15 minutes, until most of the liquid is cooked out and the oats and silky soft.
- Transfer to two bowls, top the oatmeal with the spiced apples and pecans. If you’d like to add a splash of almond milk or a drizzle more of maple to the top, go for it! I usually mix in a scoop of vanilla protein powder in Trev’s portion. Mangia! Let’s eat!
